Live Mode
Live Mode bypasses FSEQ2's internal playback engine to act as a real-time remote for MIDI clips in Ableton. Any changes to steps, velocity, and timing instantly sync with your Ableton clips and vice versa, enabling combined workflows like humanizing patterns in FSEQ2 while utilizing Ableton's groove pool.
Select
Edit with surgical precision. Use the select tool to highlight multiple steps or rows, then apply familiar keyboard shortcuts to instantly cut, copy, paste, or duplicate your patterns. You can even use it to apply a random fill to your selection, making complex edits and variations fast and intuitive.
Velocity
Add dynamic expression to your patterns. Paint velocity curves or fine-tune individual steps to bring your drum grooves to life with human-like feel.
Timing Expressions
Move steps off the grid while maintaining full visual clarity. Easily keep track of your sequence even when using functions in Live Mode that shift notes away from the grid, such as custom grooves or humanize features.
Hotkeys
Speed up your workflow with intuitive keyboard shortcuts. Auto-filling, cutting, copying, and pasting entire rows, alongside powerful mouse scroll-wheel functions for quick adjustments.
API Integration

Swap loaded samples directly in Simpler via FSEQ2 for maximum RAM efficiency. While the classic, memory-heavy Chain Selector method is still supported as a legacy option, direct hot-swapping inside Simpler is now the first choice.
